Debbie Marks

The founder and owner of Qube Events & Productions, Debbie Marks, has been executing exceptional bespoke weddings and corporate events throughout her career, showcasing outstanding creativity and organisational skills. As an award-winning decor and centrepiece specialist, she has led Qube to become the leading events management firm in the UK.

With years of experience planning weddings, Debbie has worked with couples in the UK and abroad planning numerous prestigious events and styling celebrity and footballer weddings.

Qube Events & Productions also specialise in the intricate customs expressed in the cultural ceremonies of Jewish and Asian heritage. Passionate about uncovering each client’s unique sense of style, personality, and inspirations, Debbie continues to execute spectacular events with the help from her team. Bringing together creative talents that include florists, prop makers, set builders, technicians, event planners and Christmas decor specialist, Debbie has the perfect team to execute all types of events.

The success of Qube Events & Productions over the past 10 years has been recognised as Debbie and her team won best Creative company in Bury and are National winners of The Wedding Industry Awards and The British Wedding & Asian Awards. In 2016 and 2017.  Qube earned the title ‘Best Event Venue Stylists in the UK’ and are now the proud official judges of The Wedding Industry Awards.     1. Describe your all time favourite Qube Event and what you liked about it?
      A tropical themed Batmitzvah where we completely transformed a hotel ballroom. This include a Tiki Bar, Hula Girls and Hanging Flamigos and Foliage from the ceiling.
    2. What do you love most about your role?
      I love that our job involves making people smile and giving them experiences they will remember for a lifetime.
    3. What's your number 1 piece of decor planning advice?
      Work out your priorities, don't follow the crowd, be unique and let us create a unique experience bespoke for you.
    4. Your favourite decor item and why?
      It's got to be a ceiling installation with a real wow factor!
    5. Random Fact about you?
      I am a No. 1 best selling Amazon Author and I used to be a Trampoline coach.

  • Lisa - Office Manager
    1. Describe your all time favourite Qube Event and what you liked about it?
      Sammy's Barmitzvah as I was there as a guest so I could fully appreciate everything going on and actually see the end product including a brand new centrepiece we had created especially for it. It was great to actually be there first hand instead of looking at photos whilst sat at my desk.
    2. What do you love most about your role?
      Working in an environment where you are helping create a memorable and happy occasion for the clients, it makes you happy! Especially when they let us know how much they loved it after their event.(And being the Office Mum!)
    3. What's your number 1 piece of decor planning advice?
      First & foremost listen to your client before you make any suggestions and if it's for their child, ask about them and their likes/dislikes/ideas. It's so important they also have a say about what they like/enjoy/have an interest in.
    4. Your favourite decor item and why?
      The Grace. Timeless, elegant & classy. It can be modified from a traditional look to a more modern version by a simple few alterations to fit any type of wedding.
    5. Random Fact about you?
      Designed & sold fabric painted clothing when I was 15. (It was popular at the time - honest!) Used to make bespoke personalised chocolate lolly pops and gifts for children's parties, events etc.

    1. Describe your all time favourite Qube Event and what you liked about it?
      Tulsi and Sagar's Indian Wedding - The wedding ran over 10 days and each day was different! The decor at the wedding definitely kick started the rustic woodland theme for us and I instantly fell in love with it.
    2. What do you love most about your role?
      I love seeing a event come together, from the first consultation where a idea is put onto paper right through to the event day where everything comes to life!! I love that I get to be our clients problem solver, designer, planner and sometimes counsellor!
    3. What's your number 1 piece of decor planning advice?
      Acknowledge your budget. It is so easy to get carried away when designing your ultimate pinterest wedding but it is vital to stay realistic. Have a check list of must haves, potential possibles and 'if we won the lottery' items.
    4. Your favourite decor item and why?
      Quirky fresh floral table displays. They come in all different colours, shapes and sizes, smell so nice and at the end of the night can be gifted to loved ones!
    5. Random Fact about you?
      I grew up on a farm and come from a family of farmers so if I wasn't a event manager planning weddings and parties I'd be at home working on the farm! It also means that I'm great at dealing with sh*t!

    1. Describe your all time favourite Qube Event and what you liked about it?
      A ski themed party where I built a ski chalet and cladded out the venue bars to look like an Alpine lodge.
    2. What do you love most about your role?
      Being able to make a clients vision come to life.
    3. What's your number 1 piece of decor planning advice?
      Use Qube!
    4. Your favourite decor item and why?
      The rustic backdrop with Edison bulbs which was one of many of my ideas.
    5. Random Fact about you?
      If it wasn't for being injured at the age of 17 I would have been a professional footballer.

    1. Describe your all time favourite Qube Event and what you liked about it?
      The Christmas Retreat 2018, Creating a magical Christmas experience for a family of 12, I felt like Santa!
    2. What do you love most about your role?
      Working with amazing talent that make magic happen!
    3. What's your number 1 piece of decor planning advice?
      Don't limit your imagination everything is possible.
    4. Your favourite decor item and why?
      I Love the Rustic Festoon Backdrop; lighting makes such a difference to a venue, can I add all the copper themed items aswell? I can't choose just one!
    5. Random Fact about you?
      I've been a pen friend with Lou Ferrigno (AKA The incredible hulk) My aunty lived next door to him in california.

    1. Describe your all time favourite Qube Event and what you liked about it?
      A colourful Indian wedding in London, the colour scheme was vibrant and different, we used hot pink hydrangea and hot pink orchids. Her family were amazing with us, they treated us like family. We had our own table, with amazing Asian food.
    2. What do you love most about your role?
      My job is very diverse and interesting, i LOVE it. I work with flowers, I can lay carpets, i can hang a floral chandelier at the top of ladders....The list goes on.
    3. What's your number 1 piece of decor planning advice?
      Take 5 minutes to just take your day in. Don't loose sight of the fact that your marrying the love of your life, if you havent got it, bought it, you forgot it on the day....does it matter? NO! Smile, say "i do" be happy.
    4. Your favourite decor item and why?
      A chuppah! I love what it stands for and the traditions surrounding it.
    5. Random Fact about you?
      Before I became a florist I was a police officer. Red is my favourite colour and I always wear something Red!

    1. Describe your all time favourite Qube Event and what you liked about it?
      My favourite Qube event is the recent Alpine experience that we created at The Midland Hotel. The whole event felt very festive and the super quick turn around time was a triumph for the team.
    2. What do you love most about your role?
      There are lots of great aspects to my role. However I think my favourite has to be the variety, each day is different and I never know what I may be purchasing next. The team is amazing and we work hard to ensure that we treat every event with the greatest care.
    3. What's your number 1 piece of decor planning advice?
      Trust the our planning specialists. They have a wealth of knowledge and experience to make any event a magical one to remember.
    4. Your favourite decor item and why?
      My favourite decor item is the wishing tree, not only does it provide a wonderful visual spectacle but it helps create tangible memories from the special day that last forever.
    5. Random Fact about you?
      I am a Christmas Decoration specialist

    1. Describe your all time favourite Qube Event and what you liked about it?
      Creating an Alpine Ski Resort! I enjoyed that event mainly because I got a chance to learn new skills and be part of the creative team.
    2. What do you love most about your role?
      What I love about my role has to be seeing the smile on a client's face when we've exceeded their expectations. Also I get to work with some of the best people in the business
    3. What's your number 1 piece of decor planning advice?
      My Advice would be to plan carefully. Go for something different that gives it the wow factor
    4. Your favourite decor item and why?
      A sparkly dancefloor is a must have!
    5. Random Fact about you?
      I was a Croc shoe model 95-97.

    1. Describe your all time favourite Qube Event and what you liked about it?
      My all time favourite Qube event was the slinky’s at the Science & Industry Museum because I am a secret science geek and I love that museum and it’s nice to see something totally different and creative!
    2. What do you love most about your role?
      I love my role at Qube because I love helping couples create their dream day and then seeing it come to life at the venue they have chosen.
    3. What's your number 1 piece of decor planning advice?
      I would always advise a couple to do a mixture of tall and low centrepieces to add a bit of depth and texture to their room.
    4. Your favourite decor item and why?
      Favourite decor item would be any large floral arch displays - these add the wow factor to any styling and make a perfect backdrop for photos.
    5. Random Fact about you?
      Random fact about me - I am obsessed with super cars. My all time favourite is a Bugatti Veyron.
